Hi everyone,
I've got a problem with my Open Heel Footpocket on my Waterway Monofin. There is a rip at the point where the Footpocket goes over into the heelstrap. I tried to fix it with a regular rubber glue, but it couldn't stand the load. So any of you got an idea on this one ? Would be cool, since i got some difficulty to swim straight now

Have a nice day,

Christophe

P.S.: But it couldn't put me off setting a new PB of 100m

Christophe,

I sell Leaderfins but if you send me a picture with the problem maybe I can recommend you a solution.

Send me a PM.

By a strange coincidence, a friend of mine just got a rip in the heel of his Omer foot pocket, and I asked for suggestions on the Freedivelist. A couple of people said that they had success by piercing holes on each side of the rip with a red hot needle and then lacing it with dental floss- the tape type. Another guy said that 3M 5200 worked.

I have not tried any of this so I can't vouch for it based on personal experience, but am just passing along what was recommended to me.

Thanks for answering,
To Asturven: Unfortunately i don't have any digital camera, but the main problem is that i need something to hold each sides at the rip strongly enough. I imagine that if i use some kind of very hard, rigid glue it won't last very long. So I probably need something more elastic. Does somebody know Shoe-goo? Perhaps this could do it...
Anyway thanks

Christophe

Bill,

Nice to see you here. I hope we will see you again in Spearboard in while right?

Yes I saw some footpockets repaired with the 3M 5200, they work pretty well.

Check your PMs. I already sent you a solution to your problem.
