Guesse a few of us have been watching this.
Parents got me the book this weekend for my christmas prezzi :friday , bit early but they are too organised for their own good rofl

The books great. Have only looked at a few pages but it answers all those questions about salting / smoking cold and hot. Well recommended book.

Bit disappointed it was only 3 programmes in the series. First one was a bit of a laugh and interesting in being in my home patch. Last one stirred up some comments from even non fishy people about the waste in the beamers catch (and they only mentioned in passing the damaged sea bed). Towing for bass looked fun but my experience of that is it aint no way that easy, plus the destruction of the breeding bass stocks currently happening off our coast at Boue Blondel proves that even line catching can overfish stocks. All in all though, a good effort Hugh. Next series?

Line caught bass is grate..We only ever buy line caught bass at Fishworks...It is the least impact method my far.

But theres still alll the other boats..many of whome are not even British.

I have work comercialy line fishing and it is a graet method.

The book is much better than the Tv series! Loads of good info on all types of fish and shell fish.

The line caught Bass suprised me. I always imagined line caught meant longlines. These guys worked just 2 lures at a time behind a small boat. If my experience of lure fishing is typical this truely is sustainable!
