Virtual competitions then...?
Besides Eric, nobody cares: everybody is enjoying the thread on who is the best WC organizer ;-)

see you there !
Spoke too quickly... bad luck struck: sick with cold and light fever just two days before comp. Wish I could be there.... to all of you a great comp with safe diving and lots of fun.

Goran, could you send me some used handkerchief? 200m DNF with a flu and no wetsuit, that must be some strong virus. I want to have it too.

I dont think a plain cold will effect the dive that much, at least not a DNF dive, it gets to you more mentaly then phisicaly. The thing that efect me the most on this dive is 1kg to light neckweight, it will be obviously when Eric put the UW video online :)

Sorry for crossposting but this seems relevant here too:

The buoyancy issue seems to solve itself when you started loosing small amounts of air (because of contractions?) from 165 onwards.

I'm curious what weight balance change you will make. To me it looks like you would also need ~1kg of weight around the waist.

Great dive to watch up close!

cheers,
Eric

Beautiful and inspiring dive Goran, and such a clean exit. Bravo!
Thanks for upoloading Eric.
About buoyancy, you are the best judge Goran but it would seem to me it was mostly your legs floating a little, this happens to some (such as me). I would imagine that an extra kilo on your neck would not help, on the contrary.

Now I am curious to know what are the tricks you learned from Dajana (btw congratulations for her NR too). The video I saw of her earlier this year showed that she was holding her arms wide in front, not in the usual joint posture that you have. You seem slow, and more focused on relaxation rather than streamlining (legs, and arms not close to the body). Any comments when your contractions started?
I know I am too curious ... Pity I couldn't be there (maybe a plain cold is not so bad as you say, but fever and a doctor forbidding me to go into the water did not help :duh).

but still you could have come....no competition is complete without Andrea

:friday

ps, depending on the person it for sure helps putting an extra kilo around the neck to get the legs down. In streamlining my students in the courses most will end up 100% horizontal (rofl :naughty) after putting some weight around the neck. It can be a back muscle thing.....

Grtzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Pim

Well about the weights, yeap my legs are floating mainly because I was forced to nose dive all the time, because I felt that I am way to buoyant. With a extra weight that will e a lot better, but an half kilo on hips is probably good idea as well with a heavier neckweight. But I will experiment with it, this was just a fun dive to relax before DYN on Tenerife...

Contractions around 65m like always for me, and locking hands suits me better then the way Dajana dos. She is a ex swimmer and she is used to hold hands like that, for me is the most comfortable when I lock them over my head... it's just individual. I can do similar distance bot ways but I prefer this one...
