Hi - after much failthful service I have finally managed to bend a rob allen spear.

Is there anywhere in the UK I can get a spare? I've seen 'European Spearfishing Supplies' website but there are no prices and its not been updated for ages!

thanks for any help.

Portland Oceaneering down at Portland Dorset are now carrying a fair amount of Rob Allen kit, you could give them a try?

contact European supplies, thats Colin Chester, my team mate, give him an email he will be able to help!

How did you manage that? I've been amazed at what my has withstood so far. No chance of straightening it? I think Miles often hammers his out. They used to be about £14 - several pounds cheaper than a stainless steel spear. Colin/PO/Seahorse sounds like the best bet, if not I'm told Spearo.co.uk have some different spears (Seatec?) that will work in in a Rob Allen speargun.

[Please, let us know if Portland Oceaneering/Seahorse carry them, I might pick one up myself.]

Portland Oceaneering did have some spare Rob Allen spears in recently.

seahorse(portland oceanering) on portland now have a selection of rob allen stuff inc rail guns for anyone interested been down today and spoke to tina.

Is that number no longer in use Podge as I can't seem to connect with them or find them on the interwebs?

Do they still offer RA spears/rubber etc?

Thanks

Closed down mate - not much warning either just seemed to have shut up shop.

Cheers

Colin Chester would be your best bet mate. He sorted me out with all my spares for my RA top bloke

Ah, cheers fellas!

Colin does sound a really really top bloke but...it took me 5 weeks to get a pair of blades and have still not received my footpockets (7/8 weeks now) yet. I think he is going away for 3 months to the Andamans tomorrow aswell. I may see how much it would take to import a couple of spare spears before the season really gets under way.

If you don't mind me asking Scott, where did you buy your bulk rubber/dyneema from for your RA?

Cheers

I went to ESS this week and met up with Duncan. Their expecting a big delivery of RA stuff on the 14th of Feb all things going to plan. Had a look at some of the RA wetsuits and I must say looked like good stuff. They are also carrying lots of Spierre fins, glass and carbon.
Their new website should be up and running with prices and new equiptment in mid Feb too. There was a vast selection of spare parts/bulk rubber/dyneema/bridle/inserts etc... I did take the last rail gun though ha ha..
But should be lots more of the new vecta hadle type guns ali and carbon on the way. Hope this helps
