Hey guys, something in my Rob Allen muzzle is cutting my bands. I think the cuts are from where the line is tuching the rubber when I wrap it over the muzzle. It is hard to explain but I was just wondering if anybody has had this same problem and knows how to fix it. Thanks

Hi,

I have had a similar problem with my RabiTech carbon stealth. It appears that the very thin mould join in the middle of the muzzle was just sharp enough to make a small cut in the 16mm single band. I've used a fine abrasive cloth to take the edge off the mould line.

I hope this helps?

Paul

This has never happened to me with my RAs but I imagine it's easy to fix with a Dremmel tool or a piece of sand paper.

My Rabitech muzzle had a few rough edges that were pretty good at cutting bands. I used sand paper then CAREFULLY touched it up with a propane torch. This really smoothes out the plastic, but man, be super careful to just barely heat the surface of the plastic. As far as the line cutting the bands, I've always used 300#mono and never noticed a problem.
Ron.

I found some sharp spots on the muzzle and I think these were the spots that were cutting my band. I gave the muzzle a good sanding and I think its all fixed up. Thanks guys for all the help
