rope question

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Well, we only get to dive in a rather shallow lake and usually don't take our fins off for free immersion. So for this purpose and about 2-3kg this setup is sufficient, but you are right, it would have to be changed for FI. I really like the other setup, but don't know where I could possibly find all the materials for that.
 
This is my solution for the rope:


It is 10mm floating rope and I'll use 16kg bottom weight in FIM.
With this I can easily pull up the bottom weight on my own.

That looks really good. But where do you stow the rope away? Do you put it in a bundle, on a roll or let it float around?

Even with a 5mm suit, I find that 25 lbs (11kg) is the perfect amount of weight.
