At the last meet, I discussed with some of you the idea of organising a rope rota.

It has become apparent that we really need one person, out of the water, on the pontoon making sure that the rope is in the right place for each diver and doing the countdowns. That person does not make a deep dive as part of that session but can do make shallow dives with everyone else as they warm up.

I have been doing a lot of this and missing out on my own dives and when I wasn't able to, the same one or two people have been doing it over and over again.

To make this fairer, we have decided to draw up a rope rota. Each of you will need to sit out the deep dive on one session every third meet or so to keep this fair. Hope you agree.

Rope rota for the next two meets is:

September 25th - AM Lars, PM Deepest Dave
September 26th - AM Sam

October 8th - AM Naomi, PM Guy
October 9th - AM Hardest Dave

Hope that is ok, let me know if it is a problem for any reason

Thanks for understanding!

Sam

Remi the Rope?

Lars is not well and can't make it this weekend

Remi - would you mind looking after the rope for the first dive on Saturday? the others will all help you set up and you can dive them while they warm up.

We will then cover your deep dive in the Sat afternoon session.

thanks

Sam

There will only be two scuba-assisted dives on the October 9/10th meet - Sat am and Sunday am

Rope handlers will be Naomi (Saturday) and Guy (Sunday)

hope that is ok with you two - if not shout asap

As of this meet, we will only have scuba cover for two sessions in a weekend - Sat am and Sunday am. Saturday pm sessions will have a maximum depth of 25m and be used for training and technique practise - means we should all get some more dives in and more chance to experiment. It also means no one (angels or freebies) is making to many deep dives in one day.

thanks

Sam
