Make sure the rubber is the right size for the gun and don't dry load it, it's dangerous and difficult. being in the water is so much easier for loading.

thanks. yer well i wasn't sure what rubber size was right for my gun. i ended up getting the next rubber size up it lacks power but when i get the hang of it i'll just move back down a size.

thanks for the help!

yer my shafts a double notch but i dont think my gun can handle double rubbers. (its only a seahornet competition lol).

The double notch can be used for a second band but at least for me they are a great aid to loading the gun since you can perform the loading procedure in two steps. But since your shaft has already a the second notch that is not the case.
That is why blue water guns normally have a several shark fins, so the diver can rest the bands, also divers like Shery Dale install a hook on the side of the gun to also help them on the loading.

yer ay.
makes sense though because thats so much easier.
caught my first fish on the new gun today- an alright bream and a decent sized salmon-apparently they taste like crap though?

cheers.

nah salmon are good eating, fillet them and then just fry them on the pan or bbq after putting in flower, they are pretty good I recon. Not sure about the bream. The salmon have a few big bones that come out pretty easy once cooked.

i am trying to load my gun this way i am feeling like my bone is going to break!!! its paining on that bone and really find it hard ... I am doing that on my stomach... any advice bcoz i feel my stomach pain and have some red spots on stomach after each fishing trip...

place a mouse pad under your shirt on your chest. it should take some of the pain away.

Either that or a thong, or sandal. what ever you call them. A few more loads though and you'll be tough as nails. You'll always have some red marks if your wetsuit doesn't have a pad but you'll gradually get used to it after a few more times. I have no problem loading my 1m RA Caranx which has a 20m band with only a t-shirt on now.

well mate here if u will have ur wetsuit u will be sweating underthewater and u will b boiling i am just using skin suit for now :D i have wetsuiy Camo Beauchat its nice and have a pad but i cannt wear it now it is 3.5mm and i will b dieng while diving if i wear it ... I will try the mouse pad things and see...

yer i had the same problem. my speargun had a curved butt so i just glued some thong material to it which works good.
