"The biggest mama possum I'd ever seen, floundering in my pool. .. She didn't know she could have swum down to the other end of the pool where the steps are submerged 5" below the water surface. From her line of sight, she couldn't see them. All the poor thing needed was a simple ramp for her to swim to, and skamper out of the pool. ..Dogs are the only animals that have to be trained to use the Skamper-Ramp! Cats, ferrets, rabbits, possums, frogs, snakes, even spiders all go to it instinctively."

True Story of ramp invention

Sounds sensible for a pool owner/manager, doesn't it?

Modify it for swimming/freediving, like a free-floating raft at water level?

Please don't show that ramp to our friends in Louisiana! It'll cut down on their protein take by 50%.:t

That's an awesome product! My mother has a pool that always collects dead critters, I'll have to make her a floating ramp like the one in your link. Thanks.

That's a really cool looking boat but it isn't of any real use unless you live right on the water. I'm sorry but at 6 mph and no fenders/lights/bumpers/etc., it isn't street legal so you couldn't drive it from your house to the water. Neat idea for the East Coast with their hundreds of rivers and Inland Waterway but for us here is Cali/Or/Wash it is but to laugh.

Maybe the guys around Puget Sound would find it cool but anyone who dives in that water is mad to begin with.
