Hi all :wave

Can anybody tell me where I can get my hands on a safety cord, as I would like to have my own for training and competitions.
If it is not possible to bye one then what kind of material is the best for making one.

Best regards
Ricky

Hi Rickey,

"safety cord" is not a familiar term for me. Could you perhaps describe what you are looking for. Also for optimum help it would be best to know what you will use it for (discipline, depth, environment, ...)

If you mean a lanyard; most are home made.
Dieter Baumann (www.apneaplanet.com) used to sell one and on http://www.aida-deutschland.de/offizielles/Lanyard.PDF you can find a German manual to build one. Search the forum and the internet and you will find more.

Remember that, although designed for safety, if you are not familiar with the use of the lanyard it might be dangerous to use one, even if it is properly built.

Hi !

Yes I am talking about the lanyard, what does people mostly use i.e. normal rope or plastic coated?
