Sailing and Teaching in the Caribbean

Sail Caribbean is looking for enthusiastic, energetic staff with solid PADI SCUBA Divemaster experience and Marine Science Instruction skills. Our mission: to inspire confidence, foster personal growth, and instill leadership skills, through the highest quality Caribbean adventures.

The average age of our summer staff members is 24. All staff must have completed 2 years of college. Each of our staff has extensive yet varied backgrounds in experiential education and with teens.

Sail Caribbean PADI Divemasters live aboard with students, but also work closely with our PADI 5 star, Gold Palm IDC resort, Sail Caribbean Divers. Duties include but are not limited to; PADI SCUBA instruction, Sailing Instruction, conducting Marine Science Seminars, support of students during homework and knowledge review completion and many others.

By being part of the leading Sailing, Scuba and Community Service adventure camp in the Caribbean you would Sail and live aboard 50' Sloops and 47' Catamarans full time in a co-ed environment with 10-12 teenage students. You would help in day to day facilitation of students in all facets of on board living; cooking, cleaning, social gathering, sailing instruction as well as extensive watersports, island exploration, and leadership activities. Special Consideration given to those with MArine Biology qualifications.

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:

- SAILING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ESSENTIAL - DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT SAIL! THANKS!
- Minimum 2 Years of college experience
- Experience working with teens a must
- Minimum PADI DM rating, PADI Instructor rating preferred
- Experience in group facilitation, team building a plus
- Marine Science Qualification
- Multi summer commitment preferred
