Salt Solution for Jala Neti - Neti Pot cleaning

Would like to hear type of salt you are using for Jala Neti cleaning method.

Have heard various opinions from my friends and would like to hear deeperblue member's opinion too...
 
I like to use the microwave but first make sure that the parts are OK in the oven.
 
I had no idea at all what this was about. To be honest I thought it was cooking related. However, a google search turned up that it's pouring salty water up your nose.

Care to explain more anyone?

Yes Dave, you get a pot, get some salty water, and then, pour it up your nose.
