Salvimar Atlantis Camu 1.5mm wetsuit

Hi, does anyone own or have experience with this particular Salvimar wetsuit and if so what are your thoughts on it for tropical water use in predominantly Caribbean and East African waters? Basically looking for a thin yet robust wetsuit predominantly for free diving in warm waters but also for the occasional spear fishing session. A 2 piece wetsuit is preferable and high waist trousers over long johns. Would consider camo or black colour, ideally with elbow, knee and sternum reinforcement. Stats wise I'm 6ft5 and 235lbs with a rugby build so was thinking XXL would be the best option. Thanks for any advice in advance!

I bought one recently for a trip to Hawaii, where the water was 77F. I am 6', 180lb and bought the size L. I really liked the cut, especially the neck and head since my other suits run a little small in that area. The sizing information made it sound like they run a little small (I debated buying size XL) but this fit me the same as my 3mm Yazbeck and my 5mm Riffe suits, both size L. My guess is that the XXL would be perfect for you. The suit feels a bit delicate to me, especially the crotch strap, but I haven't had any troubles with it so far. It's very comfortable, but was borderline warm enough for that water temperature. If it was a really hot day out or if the water was a few degrees warmer (80F+), it would be perfect. If only I could dive in some warmer areas...

Mikenator5000 - Hey thanks so much for your thoughts on the suit. Sounds promising. Have recently placed an order for a XXL. Sea temperatures in Grand Cayman and Mozambique are largely similar, averaging around 82F, so the suit thickness should do the job, just hope it ain't too delicate! All the best.

I am also looking into getting this. I am 6ft and 135lb, not sure if i should go with Median or Large... I'm one of those ectomorph type. Look forward to any feedback, thanks!
