Ok, The Gun/Guns arrived yesterday.

I ordered a normal predathor as well to update my "regular vuoto 100" with predathor components.

first impressions is this guns looks really Good! Invovative and tough. the Handle is made of fiberglass reinforced nylon and it is a good thickness so it is strong! The handle is bigger than expected (not in terms of thickness) but more top to bottom. With 5mm gloves it should be good.

I really like the muzzle it is innovative and has the line anchors on the side (one on each side) which means there is less chance of tangles for tripple wraps and a bungee v(what i use).

The gun also comes with a 130cm (less tang) spear which is 8mm not 7mm as expecting. It will be interesting to see if this gun can shoot the 8mm spear as well as my smaller vuoto 100s 7mm spear. Also hopefully the gun will not be to heavy with the thick spear.
*note on 115 and 130 models they come with 8mm spears but on 100 and below they come with a 7mm spear.

Interesting the guns "outer" barrel is a little longer than on my "115 seac hunter" this gun would be a little longer than say a standard 115 seac asso/hunter probaly closer to 120cm.

The Reel looks awesome, stainless parts including the turning knob and quality strong lylon.

see below for photos including some comparing to my modded "seac hunter 115"

Interestingly the 115 actually measures 122cms from muzzle to end of the green valve plug and the 75 measures 82cms.

How does the valve plug undo, do you pull on it or have to prise it off at the sides given the wrap around shape?

It comes with a metal pulling device for removing the plug, simply with a lot of force (ie you just pull it out). The plug is rubber.

Nice one Gazz! Can't wait to get the full report. I almost bought one a few months back but other expensive hobbies meant that spearguns had to take a backseat for a while unfortunately. Damn Italian bikes eat money faster than petrol. Have fun with the new toy.

So it is a rubber bung. Sometimes they let water leak into the inlet valve's threaded well which means washing and drying that area before attaching the hand pump at some later date. I always do that anyway with the screw-in caps or valve plugs as they don't always seal, but if you store the gun for a period it is worth checking that no saltwater is left inside there by removing the bung.

Thats right Pete,

But given the amount of force required to remove, i am hoping for less chance of a leak.

I have managed to have 2 dives with the gun, my feelings are mixed as my shooting is not as good as with the seac 115.

Pros easy to load, powerful - loads and loads of power! Tough and sturdy, i love the line release and the duel side line anchors on the muzzle!

Cons - hard to aim with, as bad as the airbalete. Due to no points of aiming. I will put an aiming dot on the rear rubber plug which will hopefully solve this. The trigger pull is heavy then expected, so i should probably use 2 hands and slowly squeeze not pull tightly.
The 8mm spear is a bit heavy and unnessessary unless you are hunting larger fish. I will change to a 7mm spear.

Hear is a video of my last dive - Not this gun has a reach of 7.5mtrs (but good luck hitting anything there).

That's a pity about the trigger gazz. I'm liking the sound of two line holders - is the trigger sensitivity proportional to the shooting line tension ?
I'm totally with you on aiming the airbalete - occasionally I find it incredibly accurate over very long shots....most the time though I find it shoots about 8 inches hi and is very difficult to get consistent with :-(
