Any ideas on how march diving is in Sardinia. I realise this is generally the stormy time of year, but is it still possible to catch a calm patch and clear water? Additionaly, what are the water temps-is a 5mm adequate? greatly appreciate any info you can provide

the water is now 16°c after the warmest winter I remember. The island is not my neck of the woods, but almost all my friends have been diving there and reported the water to be fantastic. Storms? Who knows? Forecasting the weather has become harder than it used to be, but I'm sure a 5mm suit will be appropriate.
Just consider that it's a big island (the fourth biggest in the mediterranean) so it's not all the same. Where are you going in particular?

Ciao, from what little I've heard Capo Caccia is good and S.Teresa is nice as well? I think these are in the north, I've heard the south is really nice as well but don't know any spots. Have you any leads?

Hey there,

there is a diveshop in a town called Jerzu where people are really helpful - The guy who worked there wanted to take me out for some spearing/diving when I was there. I guess he'll at least be able to point You somewhere. :)

The shop itself is fairly easy to find, Just search the forums for 'Jerzu' and You'll find a thread with a picture of the piazza where the shop is located. Should You go there, please convey my greetings and maybe get some contact details for me, will You?

cheers!
