good one shane!!!

In here i equalise very often because of the water is very salty hence the more preassure in depth. When i am diving to -15 meters i equalise no less than 5 times. I remember that last year i had to equalise at least 7-8 times at a depth of -25, yet to try it this year. My diving buddy which has almost same equalising number dived this week in some other country which has less salty water and swear that presure was in -32 was like whats is like in -5/6 meters here and said only equalised 3 times to get down around 30. So i guess equalising frequency depends the water properties too.

By the way my diving busyy who has older than 60 is half deaf. Even me lost some of my hearing abilities :waterwork Hope you guys have a better luck about this. I will start to periodical doctor chek ups for ears may be they can slow it down.

Those check ups will only let you know how deaf you are getting rofl rofl

i have accepted that my hearing will be screwed, but at an old age, its a benefit to have a reduced capacity to hear your nagging wife or annoying grandkids ;)

How about just equalizing more frequently and wearing ear-muffs at old age against the wife-rumble?

Murat, no way water salinity pays that much a huge factor regarding pressure (=water weight).

Nice *avi shane. Dentex but sorgos techics recording is better, I think camera mount to gun or on your right hand. i do not know. Any way, i never do any equalisiton, I asked doctor he said go on. Some can eq around 6, 8 or 10 , i think that the shape of your e-tube or something else are better than others. i never do any equalisation. i hears some noice like when you push on a brake on a a bus, my ears create. i went -18 meters(over 20 times) just eq mask, nothing happened my ears. my ears hears perfect, i bet.

Or you have been SEDATEd before each dive! :)
Just joking... You're one lucky guy Sedate, but I dont like the bus brakes sound. I prefer the clicking in the ears...
I am just wondering how you do it and where the heck does the pressure in your eust. tubes comes from. I think you actually equalising without realising it... hands free.

passion

Johnny, he is playing with the new camera mount nowadays :D i will take my position behind the camera soon again. The thing is nowadays we are focused on a bit of fishing and i am even leaving my housing and everything at home.. (honestly its damn hard to take a video and to hunt aswell)

Like you said mamba is a great piece of kit but so as the massy wooden guns ;) i think you have a denton 92 like mine eh? or is it 106 again like mine :D?

Memo, i just bought myself the Abellan 92 :) and getting used to it, i love the handling,,..... i saw dentex the other day for the first time, they came in pretty close, but i was not confident enough with the shot so waited waited then it was to late....

i have an idea for you guys, try putting your camera on your head, i used to work as a proffesional skydiving videographer/photographer and thats how we used to film. You can use a Gath helmet ( the ones they use for extreme surfing ) you could cut it down lots to aviod air bubbles, mounting the camera mount we be a little work, but just an aluminium braket and bungess, clips whatever.... all this works better with the small sonys PC-10 PC -1, names have changed a bit since i was doing it.

What camera are you using?

check out www.babylon-freefly.com some friends of mine, you may find some good pics and ideas. You could email Wolf on this site, he could point you in some good directions if you are interested.

Wishbone € Murat
E-tube surrounded by a ''C'' shaped cartlige. if you close your noise and swallow, this C Muscle pull down e-tube and air enter the middle ear and eq is done. But under pressure you can't swallow..i just want you try to feel what happenning. if it is ok. let's go on, i use no-hands, but i do very small movment soflty tilting or softly acting my chin a little bit front. That's all i do. i never do anything ,i never used my hand. i believe that any can do no-hands equalision, if you excatly know where ''C'' is?, where e-tube?, how it works? then it will be the same biking a bike hand-free. The last thing i want to say, if you train your thorax mussle which it pull down the e-tube you will never need your hands. you have %60 chance. i can not say all can manage but man do if he wants. If you fell your ears like deef take the air back from the middle ear area. it is so easy to do, Open your mouth as much as you can or ''esnemeye çalış'' when you playing with your ears be very very carrefull and before all study take the ear drum to normal position. i mean if you fell a little bit deef in your ears take it back by esneme and go on working.
esnemeye çalış=sory it is turkish i don't know what means in english
i hope this can help you a little

Sedate,
From what you're saying I get the idea that you ARE equalising, only hands free... Yep! It gets the same with me at some point of the season, I am equalising only by moving the muscles inside - dunno how exactly they are called, but the same muscle that lets you equalise when you are swallowing or yawning. Only that I do it without yawning or swallowing. I can even "click" the ears one by one. My only problem is that I always do it right ear fisrst and never managed to equalise first the left and then the right... Funny thing... :)

wish bone,
Dosen't mater how you doing, enough is to do. I only suggest you before you dive pinch your noise and swallow. if you hear left and right opening at the same time. go on diving. if one blocked..do not dive..
1:clean all your sinus forcely taking mucos and spit (don't do from your noise) 5 or 6 times enough
2:check it again
3:if you fell, one is still blocked stop diving, if you go on diving you can get middle ear baratrauma.
hunt araound 3 or 4 meters(surface hunting) and make small deep aspeto
chio
