When I woke up this morning, I couldn't help but notice a huge black dotted line running through the back yard of my Naples home.

Well, sadly .........these pictures paint a thousand words! :(

New Orleans was hit by a "Catagory 4", this one is a "Catagory 5".

Sh1t! You guys are having a hard time, you take care of you and yours and just staysafe, we'll all be thinking of you. If it happens keep in touch when you can :) When is this likely to hit you?

I added this picture to show where city of Naples is located within the state of Florida.

I placed a white dot where Naples is.

72 hours from right now. It is 1:30 pm wednesday at this typing.

I will just head over to Palm Beach tomorrow or Friday which is straight over on the east coast of Florida.

There's still a chance. When will it re-curve? What will happen to the forward speed when it is influenced by the westerly flow? Keep your fingers crossed, prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

Good Luck,
Jay

Man! As a former squid who's been in a Big Blow or two out to sea, all I can say is Stock up and Hunker Down. AND, if they say to get out, GTFO! Good wishes Buddy!

Well, .............where do I begin?

The consideration from each and every one of you is greatly appreciated. There's not a single post in this thread that didn't bring a smile to my face.

I have added another chart depicting the projected hurricane path. Unfortunatly for me the dotted line still runs directly over the city of Naples here in south Florida as you can see by the white dot I added to show Naples' location.

Yes, indeed it has slowed it's forward pace a bit allowing us an additional day to prepare the house so it may still be standing upon our return.

Humor is a wonderful and important aspect of my life and I am unwaivering in my desire to keep that chin up, smile, and say:

"Hey, .............Mother Nature!

:naughty

Cancun Mexico is about to get leveled by hurricane Wilma.

What a shame. It is such a nice place, especially for diving.

Let me define unlucky: "Unlucky is having two homes that are 160 miles (257 kilometers) apart, and both of them are exactly in the path of the same hurricane!"

After two days of tree trimming, stocking supplies, and organizing, there is only one thing left to do: :friday
