Want to get my hellos in. I freedive spearfish whenever I get the chance here in the FL keys but would like to get acquainted with some open water hunting folks for advice on gear and techniques for going after wahoo, dolphin and the fun critters out past the reefs.

Also you can blame the weather for the past few weeks on me. I bought a new gun for myself and figured thats why the weather's been funny.

Happy safe diving.

Hey oteser,

welcome to DB! The "going after Dolphins..." was a joke, right?

The weather apparently sees things on a very global scale. I can understand that it would act funny over there when You just got Your new gear, but I can't see why it would extend its acting funny to here, where there is hardly any new gear that needs testing ... But at least now there's someone to blame, so thanks for that :t

As for tips and techniques, this place is crammed full of that kind of stuff, I think You'll be happy. :D

Happy and safe diving!

Welcome oteser, what's the new gun? Please not a voodoo stick rofl now that would account for the weather!

New gun is an omer cayman HF 110, it's been in the water once now in 3 weeks, and the viz was so nice i could hardly see the tip :(

hiya oteser, I'm new too, from Miami...hows the weather your ways, not looking to good over here, keys will be busy (and a bit crazy:friday)this weekend, huh?

welcome

Not seeing the tip is the only way to fish mate! Well it is here anyway :(
