Finally managed to make it back out to one of the shallow towers last weekend for some free diving. There are a series of former oil platforms sunk as artificial reefs off southern Broward County in SE Florida. Visibility wasn't too good hurting photography a bit but there was near zippo current and waves making things easier in that regard. Poor viz. does complicate knowing exactly where to drop to hit certain portions of the platform though. I was using two GoPro HD cameras, one with and one without a flat corrective lens port to improve focus. Some still captures from the video appear at the link below along with a video clip of a drop down into the platform. Need to process a full length video out of the dozens of clips, stay tuned for that.

A particularly sharp GoPro still image capture from video using the eyeofmine.com flat port. High light and good viz. seem to aid the sharpness and image quality in substantial measure.
Note: As always, you can get killed or badly injured doing this so take proper training, use appropriate gear and procedures for scooter free diving.
