Hi guys i will be spear fishing shortly and wondered if my northern diver scuba boot fins would suffice while I can afford some good fins or is it worth spending a little now to get entry level fins any help appreciated cheers

I have Seac Shout s900 freediving fins that are entry level and in my opinion are excellent. Having said that I still use my scuba fins as well so that I can wear boots and walk distance without the need for additional footwear. If your scuba fins are soft or split, get some freedive fins, if they are stiff you should be ok for now, legs depending. However I don't feel that you need very expensive freedive fins, my shouts can be knocked about and still ask for more as well as performing well. Also, what conditions are you fishing in? I should have mentioned that my scuba fins are Cressi master frogs and so are pretty stiff.

Thanks for your reply and advice my scuba fins seem pretty stiff they weren't expensive I will see how i go with them. I will have a look at the seac shout s900 they sound just what I was looking for for freediving/spearing fins
