scuba is expensive...

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I have a friend who picked up bunch of gear from Costco. I dunno if you have Costco in Florida but it's a big warehouse store. They don't always have scuba gear, you have to keep an eye on the catalogue. Ditto for bikes, golf clubs, etc.

There is also a scuba club at my local University. It has a store and it runs pretty much like a co-op. You pay a small fee to join and then get free fills, cheap rentals and hosted club dives. You don't even have to be a student!

Where there's water there's a way.

And a massive pile of scuba gear!

Mr. X, here on the west coast it seems like all the shore diving features steep hills and or stairs to get to the water. No fun in a dry suit with 30lbs of lead in your shorts.
