Hi all you crazy frogs!!
Planning to by a decent wetsuit, but have some doubts...

a) What's the real difference between scuba and apnea wetsuits? I noticed apnea are cheaper, but in my opinion are of higher quality: more elastic and fitter, load pad, warmer, etc... so why are SCUBA
wetsuits more expensive than their apnea counterparts?. I plan to use the wetsuit for both spearfhishing and SCUBA, which should I buy, an apnea
or an SCUBA wetsuit?? i.e: which serves better both activities: apnea or SCUBA wetsuits?

a) Thickness: I can hardly find any apnea wetsuit
under 5 mm. I plan to use it in mid-warm waters..
(20 º C, 68 F) (Mediterranean waters: Spain, Greece, etc) . Will it be too warm 5 mm? 3 mm doesn't even have a hood!! I always have done SCUBA with 5 mm in these warm waters

Thanks a bunch in advance,

Oscar

I use my Cressi supercomp for scuba and it works very well. Personally i would go with a 5 mil Elios custom apnea suit with nylon exterior. I would get one with high density neoprene because of the suit compression from scuba.

Lots of thanx, jimglynn. Do you think a 5mm wetsuit
in 20-23 º C will be too much thickness?
