I will come clean and say I have had good luck lately. About five or so good order no problems. Legit stuff. Good prices. But I just got a new pair of fins. I just wanted to put this on the record bc I actually like the store I just wish they would clean up a couple problems…

1) when they make a mistake, 100% their fault even they admit it, when you ask them about import tax reimbursement, they just ignore you. Almost like they’ve been directed to just not address that question. Problem is it’s a huge expense. 40% of the item including the shipping where I am. So… that just sucks. They gotta give store credit or something when they screw up and you can in fact upload a customs receipt. It is their problem to deal with when they make a mistake imo.

2) My fins came and if I’m being honest all looks ok, but there is sand in the fins. They had obviously been used. So idk it’s just annoying. That was the first time I had that. They should not be doing that. Ever. Used item go elsewhere. You cant sell them as new, especially considering the above issues about import taxes. But they refunded me $5 dollars which was about 5% the price of the fins. Not sufficient imo but everyone will have different ideas I suppose. Selling used stuff you’re at least in the 10-20% off region. The least they could do is wash them out i probably would not have known which I’d much prefer lol

All the gear that I have bought from Scubastore was new, I have never seen any mention of used gear being for sale from them. Anything rare or unusual about the fins? They may have been returns, but usually if goods are not returned in as new condition then the person sending the goods back will not be refunded by the company. Consequently they should not resell them. I would have sent them back with photos showing the fins as unpacked immediately after I opened them to inspect what had been supplied.
