Is This A Good Gun? I Am Looking At The 170cm Model For Blue Water Hunting In Indo This Year, Any Advice Or Reccomendations?????????

I won't say anything derogatory about that gun, but I will most certainly say there are far better choices available and these other guns represent a much better value.

:)

I agree with Jim, my experiences with SeaHornets have been nothing but bad.

Pick a reputable railgun like a RobAllen, Rabitech or Assassin. Or a wood gun like a Riffe or Kes. :)

Great, thanks guys, saved me from an expensive mistake by the sounds of things. Is there a paricularly good 170cm model on the market right now? I hear rob allens are the dogs balairicks, looking at the threads here they are very popular with you guys. Any advice??

The SH 170cm gun would have a barrel length of around 140-150cm, so you'll want a 1.3 or 1.4m Euro (RA, Rabi, Assassin).

What species are you after in particular? If its Dogtooth Tuna, I would suggest a wooden gun (Riffe, Kes, Alexander) with 5 rubbers and sliptips.

For Mackerel, Dolphinfish and Trevally a railgun is fine. I've shot Dolphinfish with a 1.1m gun...
