I have seac bolt speargun 95 cm I want to increase the power of the band and I'm thinking to remove the band and replaced by 2 *16 mm band is that possible ? what your suggestion for the lenght of the band ?

Can you post an image or a link to an image of your speargun? Is it like this:

Does the spear have 2 notches (to accommodate 2 wishbones, one from each band)?
It looks like you might be able to fit a loop band through that big hole in the muzzle but it doesn't look like this speargun is intended to be used with double bands, so the trigger mechanism might not be up to it.

If you really feel you need more power (most do but probably don't need it), a single thicker band (e.g. 18mm/19mm/ 3/4") or 2x 14mm are other options. Have you had this speargun long? If so, might be better to sell your current speargun & buy a railgun (e.g. Rob Allen/Rabitech/Mako) or one of the larger euroguns designed for double bands.

Where in the world are you?

I now usually recommend folk start with a 70/75cm speargun (for UK at least), so when you get to this sort of stage of wanting more power one simple option is buy an additional longer speargun -- the short speargun will often be the more useful but then you'll have a spare suited to clearer conditions too (& a new toy to experiment with :D); if you buy the same model (as I have) most of the parts are interchangeable too.

sorry for late reply actually i bought 120cm rabitech and my previous seac the shaft can be loaded with dynema rope and two notch ,still I want to try ORCA gun

Hi, everyone! I've just purchased this same speargun, but in the 105 size, and I would also like to know if double bands are a possibility. I'm thinking 2x14 mm. The hole on the muzzle is for a circular band, and the shaft has 2 notches. The current band is 17.5mm and the shaft is 6.5. So would it be possible to add a circular band with the current parallel bands. This is my first sling speargun so i'm pretty much a complete noobie. Thanks.

hi ,
main reason to change was the metal wishbone ,almost my finger was cut when it released accidentally ,the bands is in line with the spear and this a advantage if you can replace the metal wishbone this will be perfect ,putting other band in the hole will be overpower the gun ,the range for that gun is 4 meters you need only to reduce the rubber length to get more power ,I replace the band by 16 smaller ID and it work fine at 330% band extension .

I'll definately take note on the dyneema wishbone. What would be overpowered by the 2nd band? The trigger mechanism perhaps? The barrel is the same one shared by the x-fire and thunder models, which are both capable of double bands. Maybe I'll toy around with it with a small diameter 2nd band to see how it shoots. I can barely get the 17.5mm band pulled to the furthest notch. Just guessing it would be easier with the 2 smaller diameter bands than cutting 'em shorter.

you need to know the required force for your spear to penetrate target at the required distance ,may be you can try to divide the force of 17.5 to 2 *14 mm ,but when band is not in line with spear you loose some accuracy
