Was shadowed by a harbor seal for a good while Saturday during a shallow freedive on Catalina Island. Compared to sea lions, these seals are stand-offish at first, though if you are quiet they often move in closer ...

Whoops

I didn't notice until now that the "Freedive Photography" area here is a sub-board off of "Hunting." Needless to say I wasn't hunting these mammals -- just a couple of pics taken while freediving. (Is there another place here for that?)

FrankO, those are great shots. I've only gotten a few tail shots of harbour seals!

Yes, this is the correct forum for "hunting" with a camera. The forum for displaying shots of "hunted" fish is at "Fish, Photos and Regulations," also a sub-board off Hunting.
