Hi all,

I just got a pair of gloves from elios. They're good gloves it seems, but they allow water to enter. Since they're lined, the water can creep along the lining and into the glove.
Now I was thinking of trying to seal them with something like silicone (grease?) or such along the rims so the open cell neoprene of my suit and the silicone will create a tight barrier.

What are Your thoughts on that? Any recommendations?

Why not just slip the upper part into your wetsuit sleeve, I do that with my socks and it works fine. Even if a bit of water seeps in it should warm up pretty quickly. Or you could stick or stitch a strip of opencell below the wrist part underneath the velcro tie strap :)

I wear my elios gloves inside my suit. I also have some gauntlet style gloves that are nylon lined. For these I glued in a ring of smoothskin neoprene just under the velcro closure. If they aren't gauntlet style tuck them in for sure.

Sorry, language problem: What does gauntlet style mean? My dictionaries couldn't enlighten me there..

Generally gloves with a really long wrist part designed to go over you suit - usually with a velcro strap to tighten it down.
