Ok, i have a friend who is trying to decide on the two, and to be honest i'm a little stuck on it too. I have seen and held the snake, and thought it was a very nice piece of kit, and was particularly impressed with the slim design, and the appealing option to add an extra band if the gun was to be used abroad etc.
However, I have never used it and so dont know how it handles in the water, but am a huge fan of the standard gabby, and to be honest I couldn't really fault it, so what does the snake boast? Some complain that it is too heavy, but this hasn't been an issue for me.
When I first heard about the snake, people really seemed to be excited about the fact that it used circular rubbers... what advantages do they have? Wasn't one of the best features of the standard gabby the trb head that incresed accuracy? How does the snake do without it?
Anyone used both? Preferences?
Anyhow we're looking to order quite soon, so any advice views - or even preferences would be helpful.
Cheers,
Huw
