Hello! Please help me. I had a 100cm carbono with a Demka trigger HH head muzzle I like it a lot, but I'm looking for more range and precision. If I take Dasault I will change the muzzle to a HH reef muzzle and 6.75mm or 7mm shaft. Do you think that it will help me get my goal? Thnaks..

Tomy.rofl

My choice would be cayman HF2 110, but since you've asked about the dessault and seatec

I like the HH muzzle with lifters better, I've read once in this forum that without rail are best with muzzle with lifters.

Spaghetti really likes the snake.

Thanks Strangelove! I like HF 110 too. Hopefully some sparos will give me some info about the performance of those three guns(dessault, HF or Snake 110 cm.)Thanks in advance.

Tomy I've been thinkin'bout what to reply for 24 hours now.
What perplexes me is that you're asking for more range.....Honestly I don't think there may be any decisive difference in range between these guns you mentioned, as they're very similar in structure.
Cayman HF is a very good gun and I'll really get one some day, but the Snake is better IMHO: both very accurate, both capable of enduring a beefed up set up. But the Snake is a bit more quiet and sturdy.
I have my Seatec 120 with two 16mm loop bands and 6,5 shafts and it shoots like a dream, but you can fit it with 6,75 and double 17,5 bands with absolutely no problem for the trigger and a fairly acceptable recoil).

Thanks Spaghetti, seens like the snake is one of your favorites guns, looks like it is a very good gun and also is well made, Thanks again. And I will like to say the same to Strangelove with his HF.

Tomy..

These days I am brain wash cayman, I have the HF2 the HF and the One, all of the are excellent. My favority is the HF2 it is very easy to move around, but for double banding I would pick the HF or the ONE. The only issue I have all of the caymans is the noise, it is a loud gun.

I have no input on the snake, but I would trust spaghetti on it, the snake looks great, I am just commited to the caymans now, keeping the same gun makes things simpler.

Strangelove, I have the H2 90cm, is a very good gun, and to eliminate the noise I'm using dyneema wishbone.

Tomy.

A little more love for the Cayman here: cheap and accurate. I lost mine, went around looking at many guns and received some great advice here, but ended up buying exactly what I had before: aluminum cayman 90. With a reel (if you like) they are about the best bang for you buck on any fish up to 15Kg

PS. i convert the closed plastic muzzle (on the ally version) to open with a pin on my caymans

Azapa,

can you post the picture again I've missed that.

Tomy, I've tried the rope wishbones they improve the noise (also HH muzzle with lifters do that too), but still loud compared to other guns, I am sure the snake is more quite.

I have my HF with the HH muzzle with lifters.

Spaghetti's post about the Gabbiano Snake with the new handle has really sparked my interest in this gun.

Like Strangelove, I was trying to stick to only one brand... in my case, Rob Allen spearguns. But am thinking of replacing my 90cm with a Gabbiano Snake. I usually cover the rails of my RAs with tape to reduce noise. But the rubber/polyurethane cover of the Gabbiano line solves the problem permanently. I also like the fact that the Snake range already comes with a reel.

I will go with the aluminum tube Snake though... no carbon for me as I like to power up my guns and prefer the extra weight of the aluminum on up to 110cm sized guns to help reduce recoil.

Tomy, if you are looking for more range without increasing the the length of the gun, the best solution in my opinion would be to power it up too. I use a combo of 18mm and 16mm bands on my RA100 and I feel that is a nice compromise between extra range without compromising precision.

Cheers,
Claudio
