I'm new at this, I use a pnuematic gun for hunting in caves.
The shaft is threaded; making it easy to change tips since I go miss and hit reefs.
I've realized that Band guns, such as the OMER T20 Carbon Mimtec comes ina Tahitian shaft or othewise known as pencil tip point.
The tip of the shaft is not threaed.

Do all band guns follow this or are there special threaed shafts for bands guns.

I think my question is becoing to sound stupid so I might as well wait for your answers.

Thanks.

You can buy threaded spears for band guns and they usually are 7mm or bigger. Because most band guns are less powerful than pneumatics they need to throw a lighter shaft which tend to be 6 - 6.5mm, usually impractical to thread. In Europe people tend to use threaded spears on band guns when they attach tridents to the spears, for transfixing fish in holes or wrecks etc. Longe range shots with tridents attached are not worth attempting.
