I love it when I hear of new year dates different to my traditional one! I love the Persian New Year at the start of Spring, it's so aligned with nature, a natural renewal. I had no idea the Jewish New Year was these days - I'm so ignorant! Just shows that every day can be a renewal and a cause for celebration.

With my Jewish family, a Chinese Wife and living in Los Angeles I get to celebrate 3 "New Years" every year ! Jewish, Gregorian and Chinese. Life is good !
