Shark Proof Wetsuits?

I have a business idea for making shark-proof wetsuits.(no, I am NOT giving it away :mute ) I am just curious if anyone would buy one. It would be cut and laceration resistant but not bruise resistant. If a shark was to bite you, the wetsuit would keep razor-sharp teeth from cutting you but would not be stiff to protect from bruises. It would also be flexible for divers. Would you rather miss a limb or have a black bruise?:crutch
This post is only for an interest survey... Would you buy one and what would you pay for such an item? This might take a while... the research. and to find someone to test it :fridaywhoops maybe not

Sounds interesting. Depending on the shark that bites you, I think you'd bet more than a bruise...more like a broken leg. You'd also need to take in to account that some of the best stab proof vests are only good against just that, a stab, and not the constant pressure ripping/sawing motion of a flailing shark.

I know a bit about Kevlar... and it would not be flexible enough for integration with a wetsuit in my opinion to protect you from anything bigger than a barracuda.

You're aware that shark-proof suits (lightweight chainmail) that do the same thing already exist? They're not big sellers, if you're wondering.

In freediving, I can guarantee you that if you wear one, you WILL reach PB depths. (no guarantees on making it back to surface with all that weight on though!)

I like when people try to market new ideas as it is what drives us forward with progress. it would probably be useful to put it in certian parts of a wetsuit much like my riding gear for a motorcycle.And it may be useful against a small nip but against any larger shark the bite force alone can kill you not to mention the suit would probably be very expensive to fabricate and in the end I think people would rather except the fact we are entering the food chain and take the small risk associated with it.

Well the reason I was asking this question is for the relies you gave me. First off the wetsuit itself would be laceration proof. NOT bite proof as in the biting pressure. The wetsuit would have virtually no extra weight compared to a chainmail suit.
