Shark Shield- the evidence?

Much has been said recently on shark shields, i'm curious as to what independent evidence either way is available. The manufacturers have made some staements however with the usual provisos, plus there is some evidence where sharks have either attacked someone wearing one or a dummy carrying one.
Does anyone have reliable independent evidence?
