Ship Happy

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
It is actually originating from the old old Welsh expression 'Sheep Happy'. Only when England ruled the seas, particularly under Edward the 6th's reign in the 16th century they started taking sheeps aboard ships to satisfy the sailors with er.. good food. Hence the confusion.
Attached is a photo of a Welsh farmer.

*No offence to any Welsh or sheep was intended. In the Israeli Kibutses they got a similar "myth" (;)) about calfs.
