Got as a gift a set of used carbon blades and plan to glue them into old Sporasub pockets. I'm thinking of using silicone as I have a tube around. and it seems to me like it could give a good, flexible bond. Has anyone tried it? I've also got Seemann neopren/rubber glue ("Wassersportklebstoff") that I use for wetsuit repairs. I would appreciate suggestions as to which would be better. I've read some threads and many suggest 3M 5200 - but unfortunately that glue is not available where I live. Any other suggestions? Some Loctite product maybe...?

Cyanacrilate type of glue is the way to go (I guess 5200 is cyanacrilate too. The same type of material goes under different commercial names. In Italy it's called Super Attack....). It's clear, quick drying glue that goes in very tiny bottles. Loctite maybe is the name over tehre? Watch if it's cyanacrilate....
Thank you very much for your suggestions. Cyanacrillate - at least the kind I tried - seemed too brittle for gluing the entire blade in - I'm sure it works well as a "touch-up" glue. Went ahead with the silicone. Seems to have worked very well. The bond is very flexible yet secure and the blades work nicely. I was able to test them in open water already (...cold...8 C...brrr). I think the most important thing is thorough cleaning of the shoe rails with acetone and roughing it up a bit before setting the blade in.
