I see most monofins now have about the same bladesize. Why is this? Is this the ideal size for freediving? Monofins have traditionally been made for finswimming and I wonder if they have their size from this. Do any of you know if there are regulations in finswimming regarding size?
I can also imagine finswimmers doesn`t want a very big fin when they do their superquick turns, but for freedivers (especially CWT) that`s of no concern for us.
So can it be something with the construction? F.ex: is a wide blade specially prone to V-bend?
If you look at Herbert I think he has a bigger monofin than most.
