Size of rubber band for 90cm gun

Hello,
I own 90 cm OMER CAYMAN HF 2 SPEARGUN and i want to replace the rubber bands. I want to go for the SINGLE one.

What size would you recommend?

20 - 22cm for screw in bands but you can find many different conurbations IE 16mm x 20 18 x 22 etc.

Arr so you mean you want a circular band, good move, you get a little more power but perhaps you should consider buying bulk rubber & tying your own in that case.
A circular band with dyneema wishbone is a nice combination.
However nothing wrong with a ready made band & metal wishbone.

Why you think it is good move? Only because of the extra power?
What better about the bulk rubber? Is it more powerful?

If you tie your own bands with dyneema wishbones & use bulk rubber then you save money, you can change the bands when you want & you get a quieter shot.
The best way for more power is with a longer gun, best to stick to the manufacturer recommendations & make the bands to suit.
I like to use dyneema with a shark fin spear but like I said - there is nothing wrong with using a standard replacement band.

even if you buy pre made circular rubbers, there are lenghts of bands posted on the page I linked

edit: if you do your own bands you can cut them a bit longer and shorten them if you think you need a bit more power

Yes, that is the good thing about the bulk Rubber. You can change the size whenever you want... I was using few pairs of pre-made bands and some of them are too long and then some of them are way to short which is annoying. I bought OMER CAYMAN HF 2 SPEARGUN and they sell it with 22 cm bands. Two of us was trying to load the gun but there was no way to do this. I did replace tem by longer bands but i think it neeeds more power now.

well longer guns are harder to load, but with correct technique it gets easier, you should pull it to the first cut on the belly, then move up to chest, unless your arms are long enough to reach the bands when you have the gun on your chest

when I first went into the water with my Omer T20 100cm I thought I'll have to return it, because I was doing it all wrong, trying to load it on the hip (kinda had that in memory of a picture in the instructions). Then I switched on the belly and in the 5th! try I loaded it for the first time. Then you swim around with the loaded gun and it's get easier to reload after you shot it for the first time.

It's always hard the first time of the hunt.

I don't think it is because of the technique :martial I was trying few times and a friend of my with many years of experience couldn't load it also. I thought that it could be because of the water temperature or something.

well if it's colder it's gonna be harder to load, just like with every stretchy thing

Well I have come across this a few times LOL but, if they are the recommended bands they will load!
Definitely about commitment & technique....

Depends if the band's are progressive or reactive to how hard they are to pull.
