hello
this review after shortening band to 70cm

after 2 trip of using this speargun
1- power is very good . i shot 3 large groupers for first time in my life in this size 13kg but shaft was bent

2- it always shoot low, not because weaker shaft or power , but it goes down despite enough power. probably it is the muzzle as hawaian skin diver magazine suggested. this is why i lost all fish more the 2 meters range

maybe i will go with hammerheadmuzzle and new 6.75 or 7mm shaft

but realy amazing gun in handling under water

try to upgrage to 7mm shafts. rabitech, freedivers, and rob allen shafts are some of the best available.
what diameter band are you using? single 20? try to upgrade to double 18 or 16
is your shaft too long? make sure your shaft is the right size

shaft is 160cm 6.5
band 18.3mm 70 cm

any way im sure power and shaft are fine

if you use a 7mm spring steel shaft it wont bend as easily with Hamours.

check the inner diameter of the barrel, and the diameter of the muzzle. a difference of even 1mm can make it a mess to deal with

after i got some experience in the gun:
1- lock system:
a small piece that make the whole gun functions as the heavy closed track guns
no shaft whip, straight shot to the target, longer range and super accurate
but you have to be very careful to make it neither tight nor loose which can be done by observing the spear approaching the muzzle while adjusting the lock

2- very enjoyable to handle and super light, tracking is good

3- i use 2x14 6.75mm riffe spear: excelent, zero recoil(because of lock system?) but i may try bigger set for more range to make it the ultimate gun

my advice: do not lose the chance to have this gun
