Question. What is the best glue to repair a smooth skin suit. I have a long rip in the bottoms. I have black witch but its rubbish, peels off after few dives!

I repaired a 6'' rip on my suits knee with super glue - I noticed today that it is starting to pull apart but has lasted about twenty dives.

Hmmm, with nylon bottoms it would be ok. But smooth skin not sure, Also the rip is on the ankle of the bottoms, alot of stretching there when putting socks on.

black toluene based contact adhesive. or better known as wetsuit repair glue ;) you should find it at any dive shop. the repair, even if only done averagely well, will be stronger than the surrounding material.

I dont understand what you mean? I butt jointed the rip, cant see any difference if there is nylon or not?
Are you looking to stick a patch over the tear - if you are then a contact adhesive will be best.

Matt, give Dave Tommo a shout and he'll advise on the correct glue!
Got some from him after i had ripped an Elios jacket in half which i repaired two years ago and still use occasionally, even dived in it on Eddystone last week!
