Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I are due for a holiday at the end of this year around the end of Dec and into the new year.

While she very much disagreed with my plan to go somewhere that has snow (she hates the cold), she very much prefers the idea of going somewhere along the lines of a tropical paradise.

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to visit? She likes snorkelling, and I am starting to get a little bit of depth with free diving, so a nice reef area would be lovely.

We have about USD$5000 for everything, so we would like to keep it to shore dives only. No long boat charters. We would much rather put the money towards nice seaside accommodation, a longer stay, and good food.

Lastly, we are in Australia, so something closer to home would be nice. I was thinking maybe Fiji or Vanuatu?

i went to Tonga... it was truly fantastic.
check out the article and see my accommodation - well recommended.

That's a nice story my dear lady. I'm normally no grammar nazi, but would you mind reading through it again, there are so many spaces missing between words, it makes reading a bit uncomfortable.

Greece! or Egypt). It's once in a lifetime event, afterall!)

Thanks for all the advice. We have settled on a trip to Fiji, and are going for 12 days including a nice cruise around the islands. Diving every day!
