Lately it seems the miracles happening in my life will not cease! :)

Please read this with an open mind - even if you are not a believer in Christ..It is not meant to be a RELIGIOUS thread...No matter your religion...Faith, hard work, and hope can work wonders for you.

So please...read on.

First of all - one of my twin daughter's "still in the womb" has recently been completely healed of a rare & life threatening disease - When I found this out I fell to my knees and cried tears of happiness!!!!

A little over a week ago I was feeling almost forsaken at one point...Asking myself "why me...why my kid"...But I soon "MANNED UP" and accepted that bad things can, and do, happen to good people...Life will go on. Me and my family will make the best of it...No matter how difficult things may become. I then put the matter into my God's hands...And my daughter has since been miraculously healed. All I can say is "Thank you Lord!"

Second...The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) HAS granted my request to have ALL PENALTIES removed for the back taxes I owe...Again, Thank you Lord! This too was totally unbeleivable and is almost unheard of! The IRS want and get thier money...No matter what.

Third...Both mine & my wifes vehicles needed about $600.00 in brake work done total. My van needed atleast 2 new tires also as the front ones were pretty bald. Last week "outta nowhere" my long lost brother-in-law came over to my apartment just to say hello, not having seen me in a long while. Me knowing he was a Mechanic - I asked him that if I bought the parts would he "help me" or "show me" how to fix the brakes on the vans - Especially my wifes...He said "Sure..We'll set it up someday soon"... A few days later I came home from a long and stressfull day of working and my wifes brakes were DONE! My brother-in-law would not accept a dime of our money. I am so grateful! He is so cool.

Then...a few days later I had a "paintball" date with one of my nephew's (who is a police officer) and some of his "cop" friends. I had promised to attend this outing over 6 months ago..So I drove to my nephew's and car-pooled with him to the paintball place. This "paintball" stuff isn't cheap at all, but my wife MADE me go anyways...I had a blast...but did spend $65.00 doing it though. Right now I'm trying really hard to save money and I felt a little guilty about spending 65 bucks on paintballing. Later on, when I arrived at my nephew's house after a LONG but FUN day of playing paintball at an organized event - I said my goodbye's and thank you's and got into my van to go home. When I put my brakes on at the end of my nephew's driveway I almost flew into the windshield! I thought..Oh no...here we go...My brakes are fried now...So I get outta my van to check it oput and my van has TWO new tires and a set of brake pads INSTALLED!!! My sneaky brother-in-law (nephew's Dad) had done this while I was out with his son playing paintball!!! Again I ALMOST cried I was so thankful and happy.

Also just the other day a friend from Deeperblue messaged me to let me know about a dive watch on Ebay that was going for about $30.00...I put my first and final bid in on one at $8.00...Just to "see" if I'd win...I DID!!!! About 15 bucks later (with shipping included) and a few days wait i received my watch...And yes...It is an UGLY watch..But it has EVERY function that a very expensive dive watch has...In fact it is VERY well suited to freediving and spearing. I got lucky, Or blessed...Either way you look at it I saved money in the long run...The same watches are now going for as high as $50.00...Which in my opinion is STILL an awesome bargain for this watch...A TIMEX HELIX DEPTH METER WATCH...No longer made by TIMEX...hopefully it will do as Timex's famous catch phrase say's - It will "TAKE A LICKIN' AND KEEP ON TICKIN!"

Now here is where it gets really cool. You see, my wife has been ordering these things silly things called "Diaper Cakes" off of E-Bay for the amount of newborn diapers and other stuff she gets with them...(Thanks to me getting a BARGAIN on a cheap dive watch!) But, she is very frugal about it and will not bid on something unless it ends up being a very good deal for the amount of goods she receives versus the bid she puts in plus shipping.. Needless to say we're now expecting a few "diaper cakes" to arrive via UPS!

Today I decided that since my wife and I are probably NOT going to be able to see a movie in peace and quiet for a long, long time (twins)...I would take her and our 16 month old son out to a movie...My 16 month old just LOVES to watch the animated movies like NEMO and ROBOTS and the like...So we went to go see the movie "BEE MOVIE" since it is "somewhat" a big kids movie too, and we could make the MATINEE price if we hurried! On the way out of the door I almost tripped one of these "DIAPER CAKE" things..I picked it up for her and was slightly annoyed knowing my wife would just HAVE to open it NOW! I handed it to her saying: Here...here is one of your "diaper cakes" you won on e-bay...I hope it's worth what you paid," She said "That better not be one of my diaper cakes, It's too small"...So begrudgingly I waited for her to open it...Afterall, I did want to get the MATINEE price on our movie tickets and was in a bit of a rush. My wife opened the package...Inside the package WAS A PEFECTLY FITTING SET OF OMER ICE FINS!!! I was ecstatic but my wife thought I had ordered them and was a little bit angry at first...Especially since I "dissed" her diaper cake thingy's!!!!

Turns out,It seems someone who is a Deeperblue participant had sent them to me from Raleigh, North Carolina - Anonymously I might add...I so wan't to show my gratitude to that person...I really hope they get to read this...And yes...I again broke down and cried :waterwork tears of happiness :D and thanked my God for the many blessings my family and I have received lately. I am STILL in shock! And yes...the "BEE MOVIE" was awesome (even though I did not pay nuch attention) and my son was just an angel during the WHOLE movie...

I mostly just sat there thinking about how wonderful my life REALLY is...And "talking to God" All the while holding my wife's hand tightly and watching my little boy eat popcorn and stare at the screen so happy and carefree...Every so often a tear would roll down my cheek with a smile on my face...My wife would look over at me and smile her beautiful smile and squeeze my hand tighter...And I would smile back at her. She knows my joy and sometimes even my pain... We are so much in tune with each other...That too I thank God for!

I know there will be some long hard bumpy roads ahead...As there always is in most people's lives...I however will hold my head high, and keep on keepin' on - knowing that my God is watching out for me and my family - No matter how hard things may seem.
I will thank him all of my days for even "the little things"...

The events of the last two weeks have forever changed me in a way...My resolve to stay strong and patient and walk the good walk have been set upon a foundation of rock that will not ever erode.

I would like to give a HUGE Thank you ALL of my DeeperBlue friends...Even the ones I don't know! This love of freediving has opened up my mind and my heart and even my soul. There is no other sport as physically and mentally relaxing...And for me it is also spiritually soothing. Not to mention I am getting into better shape daily and eating right too!

So when the miracle's stop and the road gets hard..Rest assured...We'll be alright...And I hope all of you will be too! Just keep the faith and hold your head high...never give up...There are better days to come assuredly!

To any moderators or non-beleiver's of a higher being: Please let this post stay up...No matter what someone's religion is or is not - I think that possibly anyone having troubles OF ANY KIND in thier lives right now just may be spiritually up-lifted by this enough to put the next foot forward and find better days ahead...Thats all. Thanks...

That's great Dan! as the good book says......"don't worry, Be Happy" - in one way or another it says that ;)

Cool story Bgill. It brought a smile to my face.
Someone sent you a pair of fins? What a legend that person is!!!!

Your way of putting it is the perfect example of how not to shove God down people's throats. However and from whomever you get your strength, it seems to be working.

I wish you all the best with the coming arrivals. :)

Not just a pair of fins but OMER MILLENIUM ICE FINS and JUST MY SIZE!!!!

I'm utterly overwhelmed with joy and thankfulness...I just wish I could thank that person somehow...I THINK I know who it was now POSSIBLY...Found an name & address UNDER a sticker on the INSIDE of the box that was home-made from another box to ship the fins in!!! Needless to say...This person WILL receive a nice Christmas card from me & my family at the VERY LEAST...

If you EVER come to Wisconsin...You know who you are (whoever you are)...My door is wide open to you...If I can EVER help you in ANY way...Please contact me. I will be there for you - No doubt.

Hey bgill,

I'm happy to see that things work out for You that well! Good luck with the fins and - most of all - with those jewels that make up Your family. :)

I am *so* glad that they are going to a good home - it makes giving them up a bit more worthwhile.

To be clear: I am not the guy who bought them, only the guy who sent them - you apparently have wonderful friends, and I think that reflects well on you. The person who is responsible for this asked to remain nameless, and nameless he shall be.

Enjoy the fins in the best of health.

I knew hijacking your thread was a good idea :) It's the Cool Cymru feelgood factor :friday

Wow, great stuff sir. Nice to hear, thanks for sharing, and all the best!

Very Cool!:D It's comforting to know that there are still good people around...

Random acts of kindness. It can become a cult hheheheh
I have a neighbor who constantly brings my trash cans up from the curb every week. When I come home tired from a long day I get to just drive right in. I still don't know who it is?? Sooo to cover my bases.... while you guessed it. I do a favor for all of them at some point or another without getting caught. It has become a topic of conversation in the neighborhood. So many nice things are beginning to happen to everyone its really humorous.

Good for You, congrats!

now, tell me how to deal with IRS?:)

What happened to You is common phenomenon sometimes called "Heavenly relief for a new father". I had the same thing 1.5 years ago as well as many other fathers around the world. It was designed by God to help new fathers in fight with everyday struggles.
