First of all ... No one should think of spearfishing in the gulf without a FULLSUIT!!!
Water is full of 2-3 meters tall JELLYFISH... and when i say FULL:confused: its like there is 5 in every square meter!!

any ways a full suit, gloves and socks is a must if you want it to be a nice day!:inlove

couple of days ago went to my fav. spot, water vis. was not bad 6-8f

saw some large size kings, speard two and lost them ... they really tear easily!! I wonder dose the hot weather and water affect there meat and skin???

both of the shots was about 3.5-4 meters with a good penetration, but no piercing!

I think I have to find a new formula for my new heavier spear!!

Right now am using 1 Omer 18mm power band with a small tear in its side

guys do you think double 16mm will give me more power or should I go for 1 20 power band??
and one thing more.... if I am using an 18mm now is the 20mm should be longer!!!??? that what i read in a spearfishing site!!??
I thought it should be shorter!!??
ps. my gun is a 100cm T20

any ways thanks for your help ... I'll leave you with the photos now!:martial

great catch sanad,
i recommend you keep the 18mm bands, but move up to a 6.75mm spring steel shaft (riffe and omer makes hem)instead of the 6.5mm, you will be amazed at the results..slightly heavier has a lot more punch and is stil light enough to be a very fast spear, you cold also use them with 20mm but i found no need to so far...

veeery nice pics dude and welldone with the kingfish ...

ill second that about the jellyfish there eveeeeerywhere one of my frends got stung by a reeally big one on the lips he looked like angelina jolie for a few days looool

very nice! we had jellyfish season in march/april, it was pretty bad but brought a whale shark along which was cool :inlove

hey baracuda, send me an email
diva@divasindubai.com so i can answer your question...

Thanks Marwan for the tip... I allready have a a S. steel shaft 6.75 didn't try it yet ....
Tonight will modify the gun using the new shaft and the 20mm rubber (I don't think the 18mm will give it enough speed)
OmerSub using the same shaft with double 18mm they said it become like a sniper gun :inlove

we will test our new digital cam. tomorrow tooo.... So guys be ready some real cool stuff is coming!!

Cuda .... man where the hell you get these ideas from!!!! looooolrofl
next time take you G.F. with you (or put one of them in her glass!!)
and the best thing its FREE :friday

Now after a month or so the jellyfish will start to do more nasty things here... its a mating way or something ... they will joing together in huge groups (maybe a gangbang style or something:t ) I heard that when they group this way they become really fatal!!! :crutch I don't know... and I don't want to!!!

Sara ... Do whale sharks eat jelly!!???:duh I never heard something like that b4!!!!

i think.... planktons and shrimps!!!!

along with the jellies were tiny babies, millions of them.. that's all plankton and edibles too :)

Sanad, try the 18m rubbers first, trust me they will have enough speed ( i shot a very big variety with this setup on my omer 100 carbonium) and the added advantage of being easier to load, if you feel differently try the 20's...
