Only a few of mine photos..i'm in love..I love underwater photography:D These are my first steps but i'm still learning and i hope that my photos will get better each time i use my camera.
At this time all my photos are from swimming pool because of the water temeprature..the ice on it..the conditions..
Still I'm open to your comments how are they? What should i change? What should i improve?

I love your not so traditional camera angles! They make you think of what you're actually are seeing!
You also have a feel for perspective, that's also good. Personally I like 2nd person, especially when recording swimming video's.
And your lighting is good as well.

The first picture I find the least interesting, because it's framed in sort of in between focus points. Apart of the ladder which is distracting, the diver is just a bit too far away, and his shadow -which could be interesting- regretfully isn't in full view. The light is a bit weak, maybe a bigger angle lens and more sun you would have more definition, sun rays, shadows, depth.

In the last photo the bubble ring is cool because of light and contrast, but the pool lines are again distracting. Again with a bigger angle lens you could be closer up and have a bit more face.

The second photo, diver with sun through windows in background, is great, could be a bit better when the diver wasn't cut of, and totally floating in frame. Again a bigger angle lens would have helped in this case where I think you couldn't have more distance.

The 3rd is nice because of the perspective angle and in a lesser way, light.

The 4th has a cool angle, and the reflection in the mask is cool.

Ok, that's it for now, I now need to eat!
Go on, you've got a feel for it!

Love, Courage and water,

Kars

nice pics!

what camera do you use? with flash or without? what lens?

greetings,
marc

Thanks for the comments..
Now the replies...
Foxfish: nearest seawater is about 700km away from me so the seawater photos might cause problems:D And seriously i dive in lakes..so in the nearest future you will see few green photos:D
Kars: First of all don't starve!:D The lens and the light is a problem. I have to use only the sun beacause the built flash makes the photos even worse. As for the lense money i the main problem..now im using only a pure camera but after holiday i hope to buy the wide lense and strobes with some inon or eques flash.
Thanks for yor comments, i now what to improve and on what i should focus.
marc25: i'm using Olympus Sp560-UZ with the olympus housing..teoreticly it is a 'wide' camera but as you can see i do have to buy special lense..I'm not using flash because it doesn't help at all.

Nice pictures there, i especially like the ideas behind the 'donut' bubble and the second 'silhouette' images.
Seems to me that cameras can become expensive, quickly (especially cameras underwater)- so maybe just challenge yourself with the kit that you have and the search for 'great light'? that's my idea anyway (but i've got alot to learn).
Keep the pictures coming :)

I agree Jonny, It's good to work on your skills and explore every area within your current camera, working with the challenge of these technical boundaries will develop your abilities quicker.

But it also helps to study the work of others and ask yourself over and over again why this or that picture is good, interesting, attractive, bad, etc. Learning to see, learning to understand what people like, what you like.

I also like story telling pictures, where you're sort off drawn in wandering what has happened, is going to happen, is behind that big wall etc.

Keep it up Whucash, it's a interesting journey you're having and we want to see 'the pictures' :D

Love, Courage and Water!

Hi. Im very impressed, nice angles and some good use of available light. Numbers 1 and 4 do it for me the most.

Im looking forward to seeing the lake pictures during summer.

If you find your lake pics are a bit green or a little washed out from lack of natural light try using a filter.

Magic green filters are good, I bought some a month ago and ive heard good reviews of them.

I have a cut off piece left over from my camera if you would like to test. Id be happy to pop it in the post and send it your way.

Thank you for all thos good words..they really make me happy it means that my work can be good if i work hard enough and improve in it..
As for the equipment..at first i want to buy the flash beacuse of the poor light in the lakes..even in the middle of a sunny day.. I always thought that the equipment is the most impportant thing..the skills- this is the goal you want to reach. I started with a camera for 20Euro:D:D So this is a high tech for me..but still it will take some time for me to buy a better camera. As for the lense..it is still considered in the future. Now i'm trying to make as much photos as i can and to know every adjustement on my camera.
With filters there is one problem..my housing is quite unusual..
Olympus - PT-037
As you can see it hasn't ot a typical thread..i have to wait for Olympus to produce a special cover. I know they already made it but isn't sold in Poland so far. They told me "after summer":D..as always..
Once again thanks for your kind comments for my work.
