I've been real lazy about taking spearfishing photos lately, but here's a few I've scraped up for yall!

Good Permit shot out of a school of A.J.'s in 70', real fun fish to hunt... they frequent deeper wrecks in our area. The real fun begins after you shoot them... they dive hard for the wreck and it often becomes a tug of war to keep them from being swallowed by hungry Goliath grouper

Solid Hogfish off a wreck in 50', surrounded by a "herd" of Goliath grouper staring at me, this guy finally popped out after a long wait...

Big Goliath after a "bluff charge".... they can really be a pain in the ass.... I hate them...

My daughter, nephew, and niece... can't wait... :)
Gag grouper and couple Permit from 70' wreck

Red Snapper, chummed "up" to 110' off a deep wreck, my favorite type of hunting presently... this was a hard dive... made depth and had to hold for a loooong time as he kept swimming sideways every time I lined up on him haha...

Great hunting man I can relate to the Pompano strong running after shooting it

Great stuff!

I grew up in the Tampa Bay area and didn't even realize that permit were that far north. Back in the 1950s, we had no way to find those deep wrecks offshore. GPS and depth sounders didn't exist.

Thanks yall, Bill, you ever come back this way we need to get together!

Poildeq, I'd love to!! Always heard there's some great fish down that way, been wanting to try Cay Sal for a long time

Going to be in the St. Pete/ Tampa area the week of the 4th starting on 29th. Looking for a couple of spots from shore. I'm broke til my insurance check comes in after the 8th.
If anyone wants to meet up and has some spare gear I can borrow, FINS & weight belt, I'd appreciate it and would love to go fishing with.

I was in the OBX and someone stole all my gear out of my truck. Then as I was getting money together to replace it all... Disaster struck HOURS after the theft. An AC install at my house 6hrs away, they ruptured a waterline somehow and flooded my basement. Lost 10k in camping gear and electronics. A TV, and other entertainment electronics. The drywall was peeling off, medicine cabinet fell off the wall and broke the sink... Anyways. I spent all our savings to get back to a sense of normalcy while the insurance company battled it out.

Fast foreword 7+ weeks and I only have just gotten a new speargun ONE, mask and snorkel. I have to pick up a piece at a time again.

Besides the recent drama, i love to fish, am responsible and love to have a good time. As do the wife and kids.

NOAH - looks like our kids are around the same age group. Mine (4) range from 9-4!

Edit - I just realized only 1 was yours ;)
