hmm.. i found a new mono.. i'll get it for novelty because it's cheap and it looks cute.

i dont think it's what i want of course for a fin i would take into the ocean.

but i'd love to hear what people think about this fin. it's cheap and cute to me.. maybe it's the hidden mermaid/dolphin in me.

i'm still saving for my lederfin wings.. (only 100 euros away.. woo hoo).

but i found this today.. it's sorta cute.. that's the girl in me.. but i'd love to see what you guys have to say about it.

i dont know much specs on this fin, it's just cute to me. i may get one just for the hell of it..

what do you guys think?

i wont spend the $$ on it until i get my lederfin.. but.. i'd love to see what you all think.

i think it's cute..

yes yes.. it's the girl in me.

it would be interesting to hear how they perform in comparison to a more conventional Mono shape.....

IMHO i would save your extra $'s and get the leader fin... as fun as the others look!:)

LOL islands.. i like that pic too.

i'm definitely saving my $$ for the rest of my leaderfin.

but i dunno.. i just like the shape of this one.. it could be fun in the pool.

it's not my main fin that i have my eyes on.. i just found it really cute and i'm very curious about it's functionality. they dont mention anything about stiffness or this or that.. i'm just curious about how well it works.

i like it because it looks like a dolphin fin.

aaah, that's how they get us.. the 'cuteness' factor.. sorta like chihuahuas... pretty much usless.. but damn cute none the less.

my mom fell in love with it.. lol let her buy it for me!

hey,
I saw this fin a while ago too when I was searching round for a mono. I have always wondered if a dolphin or whale tail shaped mono would be better than a flat edge, after all whales and dolphins don't have flat edged fins and they've evolved over millions of years! Let me know how it goes if you get one :)

that's a good point Martin.

i guess the shape would be sorta evolutionarily functional. i guess the overall performance of the fin would come down to stiffness.

In a topic I started about monofin shape (regular Vs. whale tail shaped) I think someone commented on the fact that marine mammals can alter the stiffness of their tail fins....something I have thought about different methods of making this possible for a monofin. I think it would be possile, but you would need some good strong manufacturing techniques. It would be interesting though I think.

Martin.
