Wow. 8lb 11oz. Definatly no small fish. Well done to Cathrine. She has landed the best catch. Elizabeth will be at least 9lb and William will be a 10lb er. Ouch!!!roflroflrofl

Bad viz mate 1.5m did manage 2 bass 4lb and a small one 3lb did bump into few fish but with that viz imposible shoots when this weather is going to STOP!!!Went out midday at Sandy bay. was not expecting much in the way of
viz and was not wrong. There was plenty of mullet around flashing about
i missed with my first two shots, then managed to string three. All in all
happy with that and the water was 14deg which is the magic number for
me, in for two and a half hours and warm as toast.

It's terrible on the north coast. Best was a few days ago when we had about 2 ft , with 3ft in places! Have even had to forget lure fishing as there would be more chance foul hooking a fish that seeing a lure.

Got in today ,and vis was better than expected , 3-4 metres ,lots of life about ,sand eels,bait fish ,pollack ( small ) few decent fish seen but had no opportunity for a shot , fish too wary/quick for me ,but found a speargun on the sea bed ,been there a while I think as spear is quite rusty and trigger mech seized but salvageable , you never know what will turn up !!! Also I found some massive cockle shells and I mean massive for a cockle 70 - 80 mm across not sure what they are ,any ideas ?

Hi all, anyone been in around Exmouth or further west the last couple of days? The wind seems to have been pretty slack for the last few days - I wondered whether the vis has started to improve? Heading to Cornwall tomorrow tho so fingers crossed for some fishy action!!
Did you catch anything ??? lol I had a look around a few spots in the south hams and reckoned up to 2 metres vis in the best spots but did not venture in , maybe next weekend ? this really is a desperately bad spell of weather and vis !!!
The local f****ing netters illegally took 200 stone of bass out of the edge of the estuarine nursery area last night and the three nights previously.
Bloody slaughter, they had salmon and sea trout too. Netted 500 metres across the river mouth and were gone before light. Boasting in the quayside ice room a little too freely!

Got in across the border south east cornwall on Sat as planned. Near zero vis over the sand but found a couple of meters over the rocky areas around the edge of the bay as the tide came in. Huge amount of fish around where I could see them and having missed with my first very over excited shot bagged my first 3 bass of the year. Looks like unsettled weather for the rest of eternity...
If these guys are fishing illegally and you see this happening, I’d phone 999 request police and pass vehicle details etc. This way checks can be made and the police will pass to IFCA who may already be investigating. Lets do our bit & report these robbing B******S!!!!!!!

Went in this morning in "Torbaydos" area ,vis not great 2-4 metres ,quite a few mullet seen ,took one 4lb ,and found a few lobsters ,one was a bit big and feisty for the swim back to shore but took one about 2.5lbs ,should make a good meal between them ! Better than I expected today!!
Well done for getting in. Normally crap weather means good fishing when the turn comes that's our chance. This week ahead is looking good. Bass to 10lb 4 oz caught locally today.

Nothing seen, burgh island dire at the weekend too, was in fr 10 mins and got out!
"Torbaydos" is quite reasonable at the moment 2-4 metres vis ,got in sat and sun ,3 x 4lb mullet and a 2.5 lb lobster ,more seen but not caught !! Have not been South Hams way for ages but will be there when conditions permit !
