Looking like Dec 15 is the date for the Jack Kearns Classic (pole, Sling, and Gun) outa Scotty's...$40 is the fee includes Tee's and chow, who's in?

I'll try and make it out, been a while since I attend one of these :friday

WTG Mahi!

Here is the flyer...this is a "fun" contest as most of the guys (over 40 participants as of today) are local weekend warriors that like myself are going out to have some fun, shoot some fish and make new friends, their will be a cook out prizes, trophies (made by yours truly:)), and beverages, and if not mistaken the Hooter girls will be their for some er, ummm frolic if you will...so gitty up and R-E-P-R-E-S-E-N-T:friday

PS You can pay the $40 entrance fee (includes aside from the above a very cool T-shirt) at Austins see Leo or Luis

Wasup Arman? Actually its $40 before the show and really its not alot considering what your getting...food, T's and quite a few other promotional stuff + and most importantly your supporting a good cause the only LOCAL Miami spearin' Club:friday

As most of you know the JK Classic was postponed due to weather and is scheduled for this Sat. We got about 70 last tally and it seems like theres gonna be some running, anyone thats interested can sign up at Scotty's in the Grove before 7am, quite a few novices and wannabes so it should be quite merry & happily interesting

...

If you don't compete come on over anyways we're having an after party (what'd you expect its Miami

) and rumor has it a flock of Hooter girls will be present frolicing in fish slime (just had to throw that in)....yeahhhhhhh.

Here's a few pix of the trophies we donated. Jack was my inspiration behind the design as he is an avid H-Slinger, I used the same process as a speargun build- laminates of Lacewood (mimicing fish scales) and Ipe (for some mass), poured 2 epoxy "tracks" inlaid with german silver(mimicing a pelagics skin), and get this- a useable speartip, so if you ever use it to get a trophy fish with...then you'll have to great memories

games on guys be safe, shoot some fish, and have some fun doing it!
