Southampton

Hi there!

Any chaps around the Southampton area!? Done a little bit of spearing abroad.. France.. Spain and the Caribbean... Have never been in the UK!

Would really appreciate some local knowledge. Happy to drive for a good dive spot! Anyone know of one near by!?

Always keen to meet for a beer and talk shop too...

I was thinking of joining LIC but doesn't seem very active? eg how often are trips organised or is this left down to the individual to arrange. There's not much about 2013 on the LIC site, but perhaps there's a members only area.

I usually dive in Sth Devon but thinking of Dorset for my next dive... I am still a novice.

I'll try and post on here if i am heading in over the weekend

Sam, LIC is very active but its goings on are mostly based upon the members email group rather than forums or website. We have a good few members in your vicinity, but there is also the Exe spearo club.
I enjoy the international stories and winter reading/trips that come with the LIC and if I travel there's always someone with the inside info.

Thanks boys! Great to come back to 5 replies... I expected to come back to an awkward silence I think the southsea is going to be the best option! In fact I was speaking to a member the other day.. I can't do Sunday tho.

Would still be nice to meet someone local tho! Real lack of spearos in Southampton!

Hi, I'm not massively interested in spearing but would really like some freediving buddies to train with. i've just moved back to Southampton from Australia and looking to meet some new faces.
