Spain las islas medas

Can anyone tell me if I can spearfish near the island off Medas .Not in the reserve area but locally or some where that way. I will be going there in May on dive trip and would like to try spearing if I can I will be staying in L`ESTARTIT and will have access to a Rib . I would like to meet up with anyone if possible any help would be much appreciated .Any one in the uk fancy a few days/week fishing next year I have access to boat and villa?It could be a very reasonble priced trip Veronas air port isnt far away with cheep flights?Has anyone been down that way?

After some research spain may have some fab coast to dive/ fish, but they local government like things in order, so a letter from your GP(£20), and a local doctors certificate(40euro)if you can sort one and a yearly fishing permit from the local council office(10euro),again if you have time and pacience,and some insurance may put off the general holiday spearfisherman off thus protecting there fish stocks!Ah lifes never simple???
