Spam by PM

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
BTW, the PM spam is being discussed on vBulletin related forums too, so Stephan or other admins may be interested in looking at it, and implementing some measures for limiting the spam:

So has anybody had a problem with “wyo-stour” ?
If so shout out on this thread and I’ll see what I can do.

I'm taking a look at the options available and seeing if there is anything we can do to stop or reduce PM SPAM.

Reactions: trux
Other forums I'm on don't allow PMs until there have been 10 posts in the forums.
Sounds like a simple way to slow them down, for a while at least.

I sometimes wonder if the death sentence might be appropriate for some virus writers (/bankers/Enron executives/etc.), given the cost (money and % of human lives & opportunity wasted) they inflict worldwide. If so, I wonder what a proportionate punishment for spamming might be? :hmm

Spaghetti, don't get cynical - that's my job
